Opis
WatMachinery NHSB 3517 5-AXIS is a fully automated stone-processing production system engineered as a self-contained manufacturing cell. It integrates loading, multi-technology cutting, automatic part transfer, contouring, and finishing into one controlled process chain. By automating workpiece transport and positioning and executing machining operations in sequence, the NHSB 3517 increases throughput, improves repeatability, and reduces variability associated with manual handling and operator-dependent setups—delivering consistent quality shift after shift.
Built on a compact platform that combines a 5-axis sawjet and a 5-axis CNC contouring center, the machine supports diamond blade cutting for high-productivity straight and profile cuts, an independent 5-axis waterjet for internal geometries and tight radii, and hybrid strategies that use both technologies for optimized edge quality and process stability. The production cycle begins with ergonomic slab loading via a tilting table, followed by material alignment including vein-oriented positioning for visual matching. Primary cutting and separation are performed with automatic selection of blade, waterjet, or combined cutting. Parts are then transferred through an automated handling sequence using a vacuum manipulator system with eight vacuum cups (lifting capacity up to 500 kg / 1,100 lbs), enabling safe and stable slab and workpiece manipulation. A dedicated finishing workflow completes the process with automatic positioning on suction-cup fixtures, followed by unloading without manual intervention.

The 5-axis head assembly is configured for multi-operation processing and includes a diamond cutting spindle, an independent 5-axis waterjet head, and multi-head edge-finishing units for efficient flat-edge polishing, supported by vacuum handling plates for secure, repeatable part manipulation. An integrated slab washing apparatus cleans the surface before vacuum operations to improve grip reliability and positioning stability. The machine can be supplied with an on-board camera (accuracy ±5 mm) to capture slab images for software-based nesting and defect avoidance, and probing systems such as a laser probe and stone perimeter probing to enhance dimensional accuracy and alignment.
The industrial CNC controller features an operator-friendly HMI, supports DXF import and G-code execution, and also provides a manual mode for quick operations and simple cuts.
